An annual tradition that has become a hallmark of the NTT Institute of International Education (NIIE) at Nguyen Tat Thanh University, the Lecturer of the Year ceremony not only acknowledges the unwavering dedication and contributions of the teaching staff but also provides an opportunity for students to express their heartfelt gratitude to their devoted educators.
This year’s ceremony was held in a warm and intimate setting, attended by Dr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Vice Rector of NTTU and Director of NIIE; Dr. Nguyen Manh Hoang, Deputy Director of NIIE; and Ms. Nguyen Thi Dung Nghia, Head of the English Department at NIIE. The event also recognized award-winning lecturers from seven disciplines and the English Department at NIIE.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Nguyen Tuan Anh highlighted, “As an institution offering international-standard programs and high-quality education, NIIE upholds rigorous requirements for its lecturers in terms of expertise, teaching skills, and English proficiency. We take immense pride in our educators, who not only excel in their responsibilities but also inspire students profoundly. Today’s ceremony is our sincerest expression of thanks to these educators, who provide students with invaluable knowledge and real-world perspectives.”
For the 2023–2024 academic year, NIIE presented two awards per discipline: the Three-Criteria Award (based on comprehensive evaluations of professionalism, punctuality, and teaching quality) and the Student Choice Award (based on votes from students).
