On July 4–5, 2025, the Regen Asia Summit 2025 (RAS 2025) officially took place at the National University of Singapore (NUS) – Asia’s No.1 university. It was a proud moment as students from the NTT Institute of International Education (NIIE) joined this prestigious event, alongside more than 600 student delegates from around the world and over 100 global experts in sustainability and ecosystem regeneration.
Regen Asia – A Generation in Action for the Planet
RAS 2025 is a leading interdisciplinary academic forum in Asia, hosted by the Asian Undergraduate Symposium (AUS) in collaboration with key international partners. Unlike traditional “sustainability” conferences, RAS 2025 emphasizes the concept of regeneration – going beyond preservation to healing and restoring damage in the environment, society, and culture through systems thinking, interdisciplinary science, and intergenerational collaboration.
At the summit, young people were not just passive listeners – they took part in actionable workshops, regenerative labs, and open-floor discussions to co-create tangible solutions.
NIIE Joins the Ranks of Global Young Leaders
NIIE was honored to have two official student representatives fully sponsored to attend the summit:
- Le Phuc Quynh – 3rd-year student, Logistics & Supply Chain Management
- Sinxay Chanthavong – 3rd-year student, Business Administration

Both students had previously stood out in entrepreneurship and innovation competitions. Their participation at RAS 2025 stands as a strong testament to their global mindset, drive for impact, and the international caliber of NIIE students.
Every Experience – A Step Toward Growth

At Regen Asia Summit 2025, NIIE students participated in a diverse lineup of thought-provoking forums and hands-on experiences. They actively contributed to thematic action labs focused on today’s most pressing issues: climate change, circular economy, biodiversity conservation, and indigenous community development. Through these dynamic exchanges, they built multidimensional networks and shared innovative ideas with fellow youth leaders and sustainability professionals. The students also took part in a special course titled “Regeneration: Paradigm & Practice for Planetary Health”, where complex systems science and real-world data were applied to design impactful regeneration solutions – especially for vulnerable communities across Asia facing ecological threats.

One of the most memorable moments was the warm and inspiring fireside chat with President Tharman Shanmugaratnam of the Republic of Singapore. Students had the rare opportunity to hear first-hand insights, encouragement, and visionary leadership from a head of state deeply committed to youth empowerment and the planet’s future.
Inspiration from Youth Who Dare to Dream Big
Being selected and fully sponsored to attend RAS 2025 is not only a personal achievement for Quynh and Sinxay – it also reflects the international readiness, forward-thinking spirit, and quality education that NIIE consistently strives to provide.

In the face of global environmental and sustainability challenges, this summit gave NIIE students a platform to raise their voices, present real solutions, and actively contribute to a more regenerative world.
📌 The NTT Institute of International Education – Nguyen Tat Thanh University continuously encourages students to reach further and take part in global academic initiatives. Regen Asia Summit 2025 marks a proud milestone on this journey.
If you’re a young person with a dream to change the world, NIIE is the place to begin.
