On September 26, the NIIE Amazing Race 2025 officially came to a close, yet the memories of this exciting event will surely remain in the hearts of nearly 400 freshmen who took part. Moments of teamwork, joyful laughter, and the sweat of perseverance painted an emotional journey — one that marked an inspiring start to four vibrant university years at NIIE.
The event proudly welcomed Dr. Nguyen Tuan Anh – Vice President of Nguyen Tat Thanh University and Director of the NTT Institute of International Education (NIIE); Dr. Nguyen Manh Hoang – Deputy Director of NIIE; together with faculty members from the Academic Affairs, Admissions, and Marketing departments. The presence of university leaders and lecturers was a meaningful encouragement for students on this memorable orientation day.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Nguyen Tuan Anh shared an inspiring message: “For the past two weeks, you’ve been studying. Today, you play — but play to learn teamwork, play to handle real-life situations, play to discover your limits and dare to overcome them.”
It was a message that was both light-hearted and deeply meaningful for the journey ahead.
Throughout the event, students worked together to overcome a series of dynamic team-building challenges such as One Goal, Team Strength, Balance & Efficiency, and Perfect Coordination. Each activity carried a lesson about unity, collaboration, and problem-solving.
Beyond teamwork, the “Overcoming Fear” challenge pushed every student to their limits — and the crowd erupted in celebration as they crossed the final line together. Meanwhile, the “Golden Bell Challenge” tested their intellect and quick thinking in a fun, competitive arena for young minds.
At the end of the race, the “NIIE Treasure” was discovered — a secret message symbolizing effort, perseverance, friendship, and the spirit of never giving up. It was not only a takeaway for their university years but also a compass for life’s long journey ahead.
The NIIE Amazing Race has long been a signature annual event of the Institute — a heartfelt welcome to new students. More than just a bonding day, it breaks barriers, nurtures teamwork, sharpens soft skills, and builds confidence — all essential values for students preparing for their future paths.
