Recently, students from the NIIE Institute (Interlingual Institute of Education) – Nguyen Tat Thanh University (NTTU) participated in the workshop “Critical Factors in Information Systems Implementation”, gaining valuable practical insights into the implementation of information systems in modern enterprises. The program was led by Professor Savo Efremovski, an information technology expert with more than 22 years of experience in system management, digital transformation, and international education.

Representing NIIE at the workshop were Dr. Nguyen Manh Hoang – Vice Director of NIIE; Dr. Ta Huu Hien – NIIE Lecturer, who served as interpreter throughout the program; and Mr. Rok Pintar, MBA, PhD Candidate – NIIE Lecturer. Their participation not only helped connect the professional content with students but also made the workshop more accessible and engaging within an international academic environment.
International Perspectives on Information Systems and Digital Transformation
Professor Savo Efremovski is currently a lecturer at PVPU Euro College – North Macedonia and serves as the IT Course Leader at Skopje Metropolitan College. In addition to his academic work, he is the founder of several technology startup projects and has extensive experience in information systems management, data management, and enterprise digital transformation.

Through the workshop, students gained practical insights into how enterprises implement information systems in modern operational environments. According to Professor Savo Efremovski, implementing an information system is not merely about software or technology—it is also closely related to people, operational processes, and an organization’s ability to adapt to change.
Information Systems Are More Than Just Technology
One of the topics that attracted significant student interest was why many companies invest heavily in technology but still encounter challenges during system implementation. Through various real-world examples, the workshop demonstrated that a system may function well technically but still fail if employees are not prepared for change or if the organization has not effectively integrated it into existing workflows.

The workshop also explored how AI and data are transforming today’s work environments. Companies are no longer simply looking for employees who can “use technology”; they increasingly prioritize individuals who understand how technology supports operations, data management, and workflow optimization. Topics such as change management, corporate culture, risk management, and adaptability in digital environments were illustrated through relatable scenarios. This helped students better understand how businesses operate when implementing systems such as CRM, ERP, and internal data management platforms.
NIIE Students Gain Further Insights into the AI-Era Job Market

The workshop atmosphere was highly interactive, with students actively discussing AI, data, and the application of technology across various fields such as marketing, logistics, finance, and business management. It also provided an opportunity for students to gain international perspectives on recruitment trends and workplace expectations in the era of digital transformation.

Through the workshop “Critical Factors in Information Systems Implementation,” NIIE students not only gained a deeper understanding of the factors that determine the success of enterprise information systems, but also developed a more practical perspective on the role of technology, data, and adaptability in today’s labor market. As AI continues to transform the way businesses operate and recruit talent, topics such as systems management, data, and digital transformation are increasingly becoming essential foundations for students across a wide range of disciplines.
