Admission Requirements
NOTE: The minimum quality assurance threshold applies to all admission methods for applicants graduating from 2026 onward:
Total score of 3 subjects ≥ 15 points.
For the Economic Law major (applicable to transcript-based, competency assessment, and direct admission methods):
- Grade 12 academic performance must be classified as Good, and
- Total score of 3 subjects ≥ 18 points;
OR - High School Graduation Score ≥ 8.5
Applicants may apply through one of the following five admission methods:
Method 1: National High School Graduation Exam (2026)
Admission based on results of the 2026 National High School Graduation Examination, according to subject combinations.
Method 2: High School Transcript-Based Admission
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- The average annual grade of 3 subjects (Grades 10, 11, 12) in the selected subject combination ≥ 18/30
- The average annual grade of subjects (Grades 10, 11, 12) in the subject combination combined with the National High School Graduation Exam score or Competency Assessment Test score ≥ 18/30
- Graduation evaluation score (as stated on the Graduation Certificate) ≥ 6.0/10
Method 3: Competency Assessment Test
Admission based on results of competency assessment exams conducted by:
- Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City
- Vietnam National University – Hanoi
- Ho Chi Minh City University of Education
Method 4: Combined Academic Score
Admission based on a weighted formula:
Academic Score = (National High School Graduation Exam Score × 50%) + (High School Transcript Score × 40%) + (Competency Assessment Test Score × 10%)
Method 5: Direct Admission & Priority Admission
Applicable to:
- Students who have won prizes in National Excellent Student Competitions
- National Science and Technology Competitions
- ASEAN and international skills competitions
- International applicants who meet academic requirements or are nominated under official admission programs
