Concluding the Orientation Journey for freshmen, on September 27 and 28, the NTT Institute of International Education (NIIE) successfully hosted a two-day career orientation talk show for students in Business Law, Accounting, and Hospitality Management. More than just helping students adapt to the international learning environment at NIIE, the event served as a valuable opportunity to hear real-world insights from experts and business leaders—those directly shaping the modern labor market.

Academic and Industry Leaders Share Guidance
The event brought together NIIE’s dedicated program heads: Dr. Nguyen Mai Tram – Head of Business Law; Dr. Tran Thi Kim Phuong – Lecturer in Accounting; Dr. Phan Thi Ngan – Head of Hospitality Management
Special guest speakers also joined the sessions, including: Mr. Hoang Duy – Director, Nhan Kiet Human Resources Supply Co., Ltd; Ms. Nguyen Thi My Linh – CEO & Co-founder, Tasco Tax Company; Mr. Thai Dinh Cong – Executive Assistant Manager, Saigon Prince Hotel
The combination of academic perspectives and industry experience gave students a multi-dimensional view—spanning from the legal framework and financial management to the hospitality and service sectors.
General Orientation from NIIE

In the opening session, the program heads shared an overview of each program’s training objectives, educational philosophy, and expected learning outcomes. NIIE’s mission is to cultivate well-rounded graduates who possess not only strong professional competence but also soft skills and a global mindset to thrive in an interconnected world.

The curriculum follows the “Global Learning – Global Success” model, emphasizing hands-on learning alongside bilingual instruction in English and Vietnamese. Students are encouraged to engage with real-world contexts through industry internships and practical projects, helping them build professional confidence early. The program heads also reminded students: At NIIE, what truly matters is not only what you learn, but who you become after graduation — a global citizen capable of adapting, innovating, and leading in any environment.

Business Law: Adapting to the Age of AI and Emerging Legal Professions

For Business Law students, Mr. Hoang Duy, Director of Nhan Kiet Human Resources Supply Co., Ltd., shared an insightful talk about how AI and automation are reshaping the legal profession.
He revealed that nearly 40% of legal tasks are being transformed by AI, yet this doesn’t mean the end of legal careers—instead, it creates new opportunities for those equipped with language skills, self-learning abilities, and a lifelong learning mindset. He emphasized: “Understand yourself, understand your profession, and be ready to embrace change—because the legal field will always evolve alongside society.”

Accounting: From Numbers to Future Opportunities

In the Accounting session, Ms. Nguyen Thi My Linh, CEO of Tasco Tax Company, offered practical perspectives on the evolving accounting profession. She noted that with over one million active businesses in Vietnam, the demand for accounting professionals continues to grow. However, today’s accounting roles are shifting beyond traditional data entry toward digital transformation, AI integration, and Big Data analytics.

Ms. Linh highlighted that students must master technology, understand legal regulations, develop data analysis skills, and possess the ability to advise executives. Most importantly, integrity, discipline, and a strong learning attitude remain the foundation of success. “Accounting is not just about numbers — it’s the foundation upon which you can build your career, even to become a manager or entrepreneur in the future,” she affirmed.
Hospitality Management: Open Dialogue on Career Opportunities

For Hospitality Management students, the session with Mr. Thai Dinh Cong, Executive Assistant Manager of Saigon Prince Hotel, provided a close and friendly dialogue about the industry’s recovery and growing labor demand in Vietnam’s hospitality and tourism sectors.

He shared that in the next 5–10 years, emerging positions such as Operations Manager, Customer Experience Specialist, and Sustainable Service Planner will become increasingly sought after. He also emphasized the importance of cross-cultural communication, service-oriented thinking, and emotional intelligence. “The hospitality industry is constantly evolving with human needs — those who adapt quickly and know how to create unique experiences will always lead,” he advised.
