On the afternoon of February 3, 2026, Nguyen Tat Thanh University hosted the program “Vietnamese Tết – Welcoming the Spring of the Year of the Horse 2026” for international students currently studying at the university, including international students from the NTT Institute of International Education (NIIE). The event not only brought a warm and festive Tết atmosphere, but also served as a meaningful opportunity for students to feel the care and companionship of the university during the Lunar New Year.

The program was held in a friendly and welcoming setting, featuring a variety of activities rich in Vietnamese Tết traditions, such as enjoying cultural performances, early-spring networking, receiving Tết gifts, and lucky red envelopes. In particular, international students who stayed in Vietnam during the holiday had the chance to gain deeper insights into traditional customs and practices, helping them feel more connected to both their academic environment and daily life in Vietnam.

Throughout the program, faculty members, staff, and personnel from various units—including NIIE—were directly involved in organizing, welcoming, and accompanying students. The presence and support of lecturers and staff helped students, especially international students, truly feel the warmth, care, and the university’s student-centered spirit that it consistently upholds.

More than just an early-year gathering, the Vietnamese Tết program carried a strong sense of connection, creating a cultural exchange space between Vietnamese and international students. Through this experience, NIIE students in particular, and international students in general, gained memorable moments in their academic journey at Nguyen Tat Thanh University—enjoying a meaningful and complete Tết even while being far from home.

Welcoming Tết for international students is one of NTTU’s annual initiatives, reflecting the university’s commitment to students’ spiritual well-being while contributing to the development of a multicultural, friendly, and human-centered learning environment
