On September 14th, the NTT Institute of International Education (NIIE) held its second graduation ceremony of 2024 in a warm, formal, and intimate atmosphere. This year’s event was even more remarkable, as five NIIE students were honoured for their outstanding academic achievements, with nearly perfect GPAs of 3.9/4.0.
Graduation – a milestone of growth, the result of four challenging years, and the beginning of a promising future. It is not just a moment to recognize hard-earned accomplishments but also a transition from academia to the realities of life. Each diploma represents intelligence, determination, and an unwavering thirst for knowledge. On this significant day, the new graduates and engineers are not only closing one chapter of their lives but also embarking on a new journey filled with faith and the aspiration to conquer the vast world ahead.
In the solemn yet warm atmosphere of the ceremony, every moment was filled with pride and emotion. The stage sparkled with lights, the flowing graduation gowns, and the smiles mingled with happy tears—all blended to create a beautiful growth picture. More than just a diploma conferral, it was a chance to reflect on a four-year journey filled with memories. Education has not always been a path strewn with roses, particularly during the unprecedented challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic. The disruptions to studies and daily life, online classes replacing familiar lecture halls, and long days of isolation tested the willpower and patience of countless students. However, despite these hardships, NIIE students persevered, adapting to modern learning methods and balancing between online and in-person education. Through solidarity, determination, and a passion for knowledge, they overcame obstacles and completed their studies on time, armed with ambitious young individuals’ knowledge, experience, and resilience.
This year’s graduation ceremony stood out even more, with five NIIE students being recognized as top of the class with near-perfect GPAs of 3.9/4.0. Every page of study material and every late-night revision session has now blossomed into a garden of knowledge, and today, these students fully deserve the recognition they’ve received.
Among these exemplary students are Luu Ngan Nhu (Accounting) with a GPA of 3.9/4.0, Vu Nguyen Yen Nhi (Logistics and Supply Chain Management) with a GPA of 3.85/4.0, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh (Business Administration) with a GPA of 3.77/4.0, Nguyen Nhat Tuong (Business Administration) with a GPA of 3.73/4.0, and Pham Lan Huong (Economic Law) with a GPA of 3.63/4.0. Each student has a unique story and path, but all share a common destination: excellence and glory.
Beyond their impressive GPAs, each name represents different achievements. Vu Nguyen Yen Nhi left her mark with a scientific research award and third prize in the NIIE Startup 2022 competition. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh excelled academically and stood out as an active participant in youth union activities and student movements, contributing to sustainable community values. Meanwhile, with his exceptional thesis earning a perfect score of 10/10 and numerous awards in management thinking, Nguyen Nhat Tuong has paved the way for a bright academic future.
Today, as these young graduates spread their wings with dreams that have grown large, NIIE sends heartfelt congratulations to all of them, wishing them continued passion, resilience, and confidence as they embark on new journeys. The road ahead may be filled with challenges, but with their accumulated knowledge and skills, these students will surely overcome and shine brightly. Once again, congratulations to all!
