Recently, the graduation thesis defence for Economic Law students took place at the NTT Institute of International Education (NIIE) – Nguyen Tat Thanh University. The event was conducted in a professional and formal atmosphere, offering final-year students a platform to present the results of their academic journey and research after 3.5 years of studying at NIIE—an institution committed to international standards, practical training, and application-based thinking across disciplines.
Academic Committee – Dedicated Mentors with Expertise
The defence was supported by academic panels composed of experienced lecturers and legal experts, including Dr. Nguyen Mai Tram – Head of Economic Law at NIIE; Mr. Tran Nguyen Quang Ha, LLM; Mr. Nguyen Duc Vu, LLM; Mrs. Dang Thi Kim Nguyen, LLM; Mrs. Ho Thi Thanh Truc, LLM; Mrs. Mai Lan Phuong, LLM, and Mr. Le Huu Lam Son, LLM.

With a constructive spirit and student-focused approach, the panel provided valuable and sincere feedback to help students refine their topic approach, content delivery, and future legal thinking.
Thesis Topics: Deeply Rooted in Legal Practice
This year’s topics focused on practical and relevant issues in modern business and daily life, including consumer protection in e-commerce, intellectual property rights, labour contracts, bidding in medical equipment procurement, e-commerce taxation, and the confidentiality of business information in labour relations. Most students demonstrated serious effort, initiative in information gathering, and the ability to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world legal contexts.

Notably, several theses stand out for skillfully integrating current legal developments and real-time societal trends, thereby enhancing both the practical value and applicability of their research.
Acknowledging Effort and Growth
According to the panel, what stood out in this year’s defence sessions was the seriousness, confident demeanour, and clear, coherent presentations by many students. Beyond demonstrating subject matter knowledge, students showed initiative in identifying legal issues, researching relevant regulations, and proposing solutions aligned with practical realities.

Although some topics still had room for further development, overall, the theses reflected a strong sense of responsibility, eagerness to learn, and the ability to apply legal knowledge to real situations. This event also gave students the chance to receive constructive feedback from the academic committee, thereby enhancing their critical thinking and legal research skills—essential tools for future careers in the legal field.

The graduation thesis defense was not just the conclusion of a 3.5-year academic journey but also the first stepping stone for Economic Law students as they prepare to enter the legal profession. Despite differences in topic and approach, what unified all theses was the students’ personal effort and proactive attitude throughout the process. These works are a testament to the ongoing growth of NIIE’s Economic Law graduates—young individuals who are steadily shaping their professional identity with solid expertise and an increasingly strong legal mindset.

Congratulations on completing this important milestone! With the solid foundation you’ve built at NIIE, we believe you will continue to grow, becoming responsible citizens, skilled legal professionals, and valuable contributors to society.
