Recently, the K21 Hospitality Management students of the NTT Institute of International Education (NIIE) concluded 2024 with a meaningful event – the NIIE Buffet Lunch – Year End Party. This event was not only a practical assignment for the Food and Beverage Management course but also an opportunity for students to showcase their growth after three years of study. The party provided a moment for students to express their gratitude to the faculty and NIIE staff, who have always supported, guided, and inspired them on their journey of knowledge accumulation.

The guests of honor at this event were the familiar faces who have “supported” the K21 Hospitality Management students throughout their three years at university:
- Mrs. Nguyen Thi Dung Nghia, MA – Head of the English Department
- Mrs. Vo Thi Tu Quyen, MBA – Head of Admissions
- Mr. Knudsen Mikael, MBA – Lecturer in the major
- Ms. Ho Minh Ngan, MA; Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang Trinh, MA; Mr. Peter Jae Jung, MBA and Ms. Joan Pauline De Jesus – English Lecturers
Along with the faculty from the academic and admissions departments. Their presence created a warm, welcoming atmosphere and was a great source of encouragement for the students.

From the invitation cards to the space setup, the K21 students demonstrated their maturity through every little detail. The party venue was designed to be cozy, elegant, and formal, creating an atmosphere that was both intimate and memorable for the Year End Party. The carefully chosen utensils, tailored to each dish, reflected the professionalism and finesse the students have acquired during their studies.

The menu was not only delicious but also visually appealing, featuring a harmonious blend of Asian and European cuisines. From appetizers, soups, and main courses to desserts, every dish was prepared meticulously and presented creatively. These dishes not only reflected the students’ dedication but also showcased their cooking skills and passion for the hospitality profession. Under the guidance of ThS. Rok Pintar, the students not only provided a perfect meal but also conveyed deep messages through each dish.
In addition to the sumptuous buffet, the K21 students cleverly organized a mini-game, a team guessing game specifically for the attending faculty members. The game not only brought laughter but also created an intimate, bonding atmosphere between students and faculty. Each round of the game, with its smooth coordination and humorous expressions from the faculty, had the entire room erupting in applause. This mini-game was not only a fun highlight but also a creative and thoughtful gesture of gratitude.

More than just a practical course, the Buffet Lunch – Year End Party 2024 was a heartfelt thank-you from the students to their teachers – those who have accompanied them through three years of university, always dedicated to the education of future generations. The event also served as an opportunity for students to reflect on all the knowledge they have acquired and applied in real-life settings, from event management to culinary and service skills. This will undoubtedly be invaluable experience as they continue to improve their skills, gain knowledge, and prepare for their future careers.

The NIIE Buffet Lunch – Year End Party 2024 left a lasting impression not only on the faculty but also on the students themselves. It is a testament to the creativity, hard work, and maturity that the students have achieved after three years at NIIE. We hope that the lessons from this event will help you continue to develop and shine in your career journey, confidently becoming a high-quality workforce in the field of Hospitality Management.
