On December 21, Mr. Ta Huu Hien, MBA, a lecturer at NIIE, was honored with the Best Paper Award at ICFBP 2025 – International Conference on Future Business Perspectives. This prestigious academic conference was co-organized by Nguyen Tat Thanh University (NTTU) and leading universities from the United Kingdom, attracting scholars and experts from around the world.

A Research Topic with Strong Academic and Practical Value
The award-winning paper, titled “Who Adapts Best? A Predictive Model of Expatriates’ Work Adaptation in FDI Firms in Vietnam,” explores how international employees adapt to working environments in foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises in Vietnam—a highly relevant topic amid globalization and the growing flow of foreign investment.

The study stands out for its strong integration of modern management theories with real-world data to develop a predictive model for expatriates’ work adaptation. Beyond explaining why many companies struggle to retain international talent, the research offers valuable insights for human resource management, training, and the development of multicultural workforces.
Thanks to its interdisciplinary approach, high practical applicability, and meaningful contributions to both businesses and society, the paper received strong recognition from the international scientific committee and was awarded Best Paper Award at ICFBP 2025.
