On August 1, 2025, the campus of the NTT Institute of International Education (NIIE) came alive with vibrant colors, exciting flavors, and a buzzing atmosphere during NIIE’s Fair 2025 – the most anticipated annual festival of the year. More than just a community-building event, the fair served as a stage for showcasing “one-of-a-kind” ideas delivered with both creativity and professionalism.

This year’s fair featured 10 uniquely themed booths, each brimming with cultural flair, personal style, and trend-savvy creativity. From booth design and staff costumes to food offerings, every detail was carefully crafted with passion by NIIE students.

Among the highlights was “Vi Xua” (Old Flavor) – a booth capturing the essence of the Mekong Delta region with nostalgic treats like steamed rice cakes and layered jelly cakes. Every element, from the rustic decor to the warm service, evoked a sense of home and childhood memories for anyone who visited.

In contrast, “Boc Bat” and “Raffwich” brought an entirely different energy – fun, modern, and full of Gen Z flair. With activities like lucky draws and mystery bag unwrapping, these booths turned up the excitement. Cheers and laughter echoed through the courtyard whenever someone scored a big win!

Also making waves was Cozy Matcha – a must-visit spot for green tea lovers. Beyond its deliciously creamy matcha drinks, the booth stood out with its thoughtfully designed space that perfectly embodied the comforting, warm vibes its name promised.

Adding a global twist, Lao Kitchen offered a meaningful highlight of the fair with its vibrant Lao student concept. From traditional attire and authentic dishes like Lao-style papaya salad and fish noodle soup to a beautifully decorated cultural space, the booth not only delighted guests but also fostered unity and connection between Vietnamese and Lao students at NIIE.

But NIIE’s Fair 2025 didn’t stop at fun and food. Carrying a message of social responsibility, several booths pledged to donate a portion of their profits to charitable causes. A small action with big impact – reflecting the compassion and community spirit of NIIE students, who are not only creative and dynamic but also deeply socially conscious.

Though it lasted only one day, NIIE’s Fair 2025 left a lasting impression, filling the campus with joy, laughter, and a contagious energy. More than just a fun event, the fair gave students a chance to hone their event planning skills, express their creativity, and collaborate in teams – all essential abilities that shape the image of a globally-ready, professional, and spirited generation of NIIE students.
