As part of the Hospitality Contract and Event Management course, students majoring in Hotel Management at the NTT Institute of International Education (NIIE) took part in an insightful industry field trip to Saigon Prince Hotel—a prestigious 4-star hotel located in the heart of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
Far beyond a simple “hotel tour,” this visit offered students a hands-on opportunity to directly engage with the professional world and explore in-depth aspects of event management—one of the key career pathways in the modern hospitality and service industry.
At Saigon Prince Hotel, students had the chance to:
- Observe firsthand the hotel’s state-of-the-art facilities, including conference rooms, restaurants, guest accommodations, and high-end event spaces.
- Gain valuable insights from the hotel’s management team on event coordination processes, professional planning standards, real-time problem-solving, and cross-departmental collaboration.
- Learn about sustainable development trends in the hospitality industry—especially how “green” practices are being integrated into event organization and daily operations.
One of the biggest highlights of this field trip was the opportunity for students to experience “live” event management knowledge—through real case studies, operational models, and meaningful interactions with industry professionals.
Through this experience, students not only reinforced their academic knowledge but also gained a clearer understanding of service standards, operational procedures, and the skillsets required for a career in Hospitality & Event Management. It also served as a strong foundation, preparing them with the confidence and practical insight needed to thrive in the real-world workplace after graduation.
