"Bursting with Enthusiasm - Partying to the Fullest" with NIIE Amazing Race 2023 - Breakthrough and Reach New Heights

On Saturday, October 14, K23 students at NIIE had the opportunity to “party to the fullest” during the welcoming event for new students – NIIE Amazing Race 2023.

This year, NIIE Amazing Race 2023 was honored to have the participation of Dr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Vice President of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Director of NIIE; Dr. Nguyen Manh Hoang, Vice Director of NIIE; Ms. Nguyen Thi Dung Nghia – Head of the English Department at NIIE; respected English faculty members: Mr. Rok Pintar, Mr. Andries Dreyers, Ms. Ho Minh Ngan, Mr. Huynh Huu Nghiem, Mr. Tran Minh Duong, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang Trinh; specialized faculty members: Mr. Ta Huu Hien, Ms. Vo Thi Tu Quyen, Ms. Vo Thi Ngoc Ha, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong Tra; along with all new K23 students at NIIE.

In his opening speech, Dr. Nguyen Tuan Anh mentioned that, apart from academic activities, NIIE greatly emphasizes extracurricular activities. This is an opportunity for students to explore their potential, showcase their personalities, ignite their dynamic energy, develop teamwork spirit, and, most importantly, expand new relationships. Beyond a mere extracurricular activity, NIIE Amazing Race is a traditional event organized annually by the Institute as a milestone to welcome new students. Dr. Nguyen Tuan Anh encouraged students to participate fully in NIIE Amazing Race, both in their studies and activities.

At NIIE Amazing Race 2023, students were entertained by remarkable performances presented by senior students. Following that were team-building games that brought excitement. Each challenge required students to harness their physical strength, flexibility, and teamwork. Each game carried a message. NIIE aimed to convey important values to the students, values that should not only be retained during their four years at the university but also accompany them throughout their future careers. These values included solidarity, teamwork, the will to overcome challenges, logical thinking, and the never-give-up spirit.

The event wasn’t just about fun; every participant received rewards, and their efforts were recognized. NIIE Amazing Race 2023 presented K23 students with a wealth of attractive prizes. The Team Building Game awards included a first prize of 2,000,000 VND, a second prize of 1,500,000 VND, a third prize of 1,000,000 VND, and five encouragement prizes, each worth 500,000 VND. Additionally, there were prizes for the “The More Check-Ins, the Bigger the Prizes’ contest, motivating students to overcome any hesitations and take photos with friends, teachers, and colleagues to capture those lovely and innocent moments of their first days in university. The rewards for this mini-game category included: First Prize: 1,000,000 VND, Second Prize: 500,000 VND, Third Prize: 300,000 VND, and Encouragement Prize: 200,000 VND.
