“From Classical to Modern Architecture in Software Design” – A Mind-Opening Workshop for IT Students

Software development is more than just writing code—it’s about architecture: how systems are structured, organized, and optimized to be both user-friendly and scalable. That was the key message delivered to IT students of the NTT Institute of International Education (NIIE) during the workshop “From Classical to Modern Architecture in Software Design”, held on July 17, 2025.

Làm phần mềm không chỉ là code, mà còn là câu chuyện về kiến trúc - về cách tổ chức, sắp xếp và tối ưu hệ thống sao cho thân thiện.
Software development is more than just writing code—it’s about architecture: how to structure, organize, and optimize systems in a user-friendly way.

The guest speaker was Mr. Dang Thanh Tung, Co-Founder of Bao Kim HQ, Technical Lead at Global TPZ (Thailand), Team Lead at Scaleflex, and Lead Trainer at Soldemy. With extensive experience in major projects across E-Commerce, Fintech, Education, and ERP, Mr. Tung is known for building “workhorse” systems—robust, scalable, and delivering smooth UI/UX.

Diễn giả Đặng Thanh Tùng, Co-Founder của Bảo Kim HQ là một trong những gương mặt quen thuộc của sinh viên NIIE.
Speaker Dang Thanh Tung, Co-Founder of Bao Kim HQ, is a familiar face to many NIIE students.

Throughout the workshop, Mr. Tung guided students through an engaging knowledge journey: from traditional software architecture models like 3-layer and MVC to more advanced concepts such as Domain-Driven Design and CQRS. Students learned how to structure data models, distinguish between high-level and low-level designs, and explore practical considerations in choosing the right architecture for specific business problems.

Buổi workshop đã mang đến rất nhiều kiến thức bổ ích, từ kiến trúc phần mềm truyền thống cho đến các khái niệm mới như Domain-Driven Design hay CQRS.
The workshop delivered valuable knowledge—from traditional software architecture to newer concepts like Domain-Driven Design and CQRS.

“This workshop was a great opportunity for us to gain a deeper understanding of tech companies. We learned how to approach a project not only from a technical angle but also from a business perspective, which improved our systems thinking. It helped us better grasp the role of architecture models and how technical and business aspects are deeply connected in today’s enterprises. This session truly motivated us to stay committed to our learning path and continue growing both in school and in real-world practice,” shared Hoang Nhat Nam and Le Dinh Chuong after the workshop.

In just over three hours, the workshop opened up new perspectives for IT students—those who are on a journey to transform their passion for technology into a meaningful career. A real-world class filled with insights and well worth attending for anyone serious about the tech profession!
