On Saturday, October 21, K23 students majoring in Business Administration at NTT Institute of International Education (NIIE) had a very informative and engaging meeting. They not only received information about the academy program but also gained inspiration and entrepreneurial thinking from the guest speaker, Nguyen Tan Duc, M.B.A, Director of Van Phuc Aquatic Products Co., Ltd.
The Career Orientation Day for Business Administration Majors was attended by Dr. Nguyen Xuan Nhi, Head of the Business Administration Department at NIIE; Nguyen Tan Duc, M.B.A, Director of Van Phuc Aquatic Products Co., Ltd.; Ta Huu Hien, M.A, an NIIE lecturer and program committee member, along with K23 Business Administration students.
In his role as the Head of the Business Administration Department at NIIE, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Nhi provided K23 “newcomers” with essential information about the educational philosophy, training objectives, duration, outcome standards, and outlook for the upcoming years. He also discussed the advantages of students in an international-standard program at NIIE, such as achieving a B2-level English proficiency (equivalent to IELTS 5.5 – 6.0), a curriculum aligned with leading global universities, and real-world job references. This ensures that graduates have the knowledge, skills, and foreign language proficiency needed to manage business operations both domestically and internationally, becoming global citizens.
To help students better envision the prospects of the Business Administration field in the coming years, guest speaker Nguyen Tan Duc, M.B.A, Director of Van Phuc Aquatic Products Co., Ltd., presented statistical figures and reports demonstrating Vietnam’s increasing attraction to foreign investment and the high number of newly established businesses each year. Therefore, the job opportunities for Business Administration students are significant as all enterprises will require these positions. Moreover, the Business Administration program at NIIE offers two specializations: International Business and Marketing, providing students diverse career options. However, Mr. Nguyen Tan Duc advised students to actively learn foreign languages and enhance their professional knowledge to gain a competitive advantage in job selection.
“The highest milestone in Business Administration is to create employment opportunities for others,” this is a very realistic insight shared by the Director of Van Phuc Aquatic Products. In the context of global economic development and the increasing influx of foreign investment into Vietnam, along with government policies that promote entrepreneurship, Nguyen Tan Duc, M.B.A also believes that after completing their university education and accumulating enough experience, students will have many entrepreneurial opportunities. To prepare for this, students must cultivate a mindset of daring to “dream big” and a thirst for exploring new things right from their seats in the lecture hall.
The program concluded by igniting a passionate flame in the hearts of K23 NIIE students. They will have the best start for the journey ahead, with their knowledge and experiences forever retained in their minds and their entrepreneurial spirit forever in their hearts.
