Real Learning from Real Life: NIIE Students Experience the “Administrative Service” Course in Practice

On Saturday, November 8, 2025, students from the NTT Institute of International Education (NIIE) will take part in a practical learning session for the Administrative Service course through a field activity series titled “Practical Learning.” The session will take place across three iconic locations in Ho Chi Minh City: Ton Duc Thang Museum, the Central Post Office, and Nguyen Van Binh Book Street.

The activity is designed to help students apply classroom knowledge to real-world contexts while developing essential skills for the modern administrative and service environment — including face-to-face and email communication, teamwork, and time management.
It also provides an opportunity for students to strengthen their problem-solving, situational handling, and professional communication skills, fostering greater confidence in real-life interactions.

During the trip, students will first visit and learn about the Ton Duc Thang Museum, then move to Nguyen Van Binh Book Street to complete a set of hands-on group tasks, including:

  • Communicating and interviewing four visitors (two Vietnamese and two foreigners) about their reading habits, reasons for visiting the book street, and the role of email in their work.

  • Finding and introducing a specific book assigned by the lecturer within a given time limit.

  • Persuading a customer to buy a book or souvenir.

  • Reading and summarizing a book’s content in a mind map format presented on A0-sized paper.

At the end of the activity, each group will present their results, engage in a Q&A session with the lecturer, and take group photos to capture memorable moments from this unique learning journey.

📍 See you all at the trip – where Real Learning truly comes from Real Life!
