On December 29th, the NTT Institute of International Education (NIIE) organized a gathering with class committees to review the past year. This event aimed to listen to student feedback, contributions, and suggestions, and notably, to reward and acknowledge those who excelled academically in the previous academic year.
The meeting with class committees saw the participation of the university’s leadership, including Dr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Vice President of Nguyen Tat Thanh University (NTTU) and Director of NIIE; Dr. Nguyen Manh Hoang, Vice Director of NIIE; MSc. Nguyen Binh, Representative of the NTTU Student Association; academic faculty members, study advisors, along nearly 50 student representatives from various courses.
Class committees continue to play a crucial role in bridging the gap between the university and students. Apart from facilitating student participation in extracurricular activities and fostering social relationships, class committees also assist students in their academic pursuits and personal development. Additionally, they are responsible for disseminating information from the university to students and vice versa, enabling effective communication between the two sides. Hence, NIIE highly values the regular gathering with class committees, primarily focused on listening to student voices and commending outstanding achievements.
During this meeting, NIIE provided an opportunity to listen to the desires and aspirations of the students through their class committees. These committees were able to openly discuss difficulties, ask questions, and receive direct responses from university leadership. Through this gathering, NIIE gained valuable insights from the student perspective, and exchanged ideas about extracurricular activities, academics, and cultural events, aiming to enhance the university’s quality. This initiative aims to create an open, dynamic learning environment, offering fresh experiences and ensuring the best interests of students.
Finally, the university presented gifts to individuals who achieved remarkable success in the previous academic year. This gesture aimed to recognize the dedication and efforts of class committee members in managing and promoting class activities. Through these acknowledgments, the university hopes to provide strong motivation for class committee members to continue excelling in their roles, contributing more concrete ideas and actions to improve the learning environment at NIIE.
