On Dec 12th, NIIE held its Year-End Review Gathering in a warm, friendly, and highly connected atmosphere. More than just a moment to look back on NIIE’s journey over the past academic year, the event created a meaningful space for lecturers, industry partners, alumni, class representatives, and students from different cohorts and nationalities to come together, exchange ideas, and share honest, constructive perspectives for the Institute’s future development.

The event was honored to welcome members of the Institute’s leadership board, including Dr. Nguyen Tuan Anh – Vice President of Nguyen Tat Thanh University (NTTU) and Director of NIIE, and Dr. Nguyen Manh Hoang – Vice Director of NIIE. The program also received the valued support of long-term industry partners, namely Mr. Le Thanh Sinh– Head of Engineering Department, Thien Minh Auto, and Mr. Nguyen Huynh Khac Huy, MSc – Deputy Director of Hinova Company.
From the academic side, the gathering was attended by Heads of Programs at NIIE, including Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong – Head of Business Administration and Technology, Dr. Ngo To Giao – Head of Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Dung Nghia, MA – Head of English Studies, along with NIIE lecturers, alumni, international students, and class representatives representing the Institute’s student body.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Nguyen Tuan Anh expressed his sincere appreciation to lecturers, industry partners, students, and alumni for taking the time to attend. He shared that this annual event holds special significance—not only as a moment to reflect on key milestones and achievements, but also as an opportunity to listen to valuable feedback from businesses, students, and especially class representatives. These practical insights serve as an important foundation for NIIE to continuously improve its training activities, ensuring that graduates are better prepared to meet the needs of employers and society.

During the review session, Dr. Nguyen Manh Hoang highlighted several outstanding achievements of NTTU and NIIE over the past year. Notably, NIIE was honored with a Certificate of Merit from the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee for its outstanding contributions to education and training for two consecutive years. Students Khuat Hong Truc Vy and Nguyen Van An won Third Prize at the 2025 Student Science and Technology Awards for Higher Education Institutions. In addition, 80 student research projects received university-level awards, while 62 projects participated in innovation and startup activities.
Most impressively, Phan Anh Loc – Valedictorian of the NIIE Information Technology program – became the first student of both NIIE and NTTU to achieve a perfect GPA of 4.0/4.0.

The program also reviewed the activities of class representatives, student engagement initiatives, and international student activities, while sharing NIIE’s orientation and plans for 2026. These plans focus on enhancing training quality, strengthening industry collaboration, and expanding learning experiences for students.

The final part of the program was dedicated to listening, feedback, and open dialogue from industry representatives, students, and class representatives. These sincere contributions reflected the growing maturity, proactiveness, and strong sense of responsibility among NIIE students. Many students were also recognized with the title of “Five-Good Student” at both university and city levels, helping to further spread the image of a dynamic, confident, and value-driven student community.

The gathering concluded in an open, warm, and hopeful atmosphere. More than a year-end reflection, this event marked an important stepping stone for the NIIE community to continue connecting, accompanying one another, and growing together – moving forward toward a new year filled with opportunities and success.
