SPSS is a crucial software that plays an indispensable role in completing the graduation theses for students in the business field. However, unfamiliarity with the tool and uncertainty in operations can lead to inaccuracies in data analysis, affecting the results of the thesis and the graduation progress. Understanding this issue, on the 2nd and 8th of this month, NIIE organized the Workshop “Quantitative Data Analysis with SPSS” for final-year students.
The Workshop “Quantitative Data Analysis with SPSS” was led by Ms.Tran Hoang Cam Tu, MBA, and Mr.Vu Nhat Phuong, MBA, two lecturers with extensive experience in teaching and supporting final-year students in completing their graduation theses. The main objective of the Workshop is to equip students with a comprehensive knowledge from basic to advanced levels of data analysis, along with guidance on using SPSS software. Through this program, students learned how to collect and process data effectively, develop analytical skills, assess data quality, and draw conclusions, as well as managerial decisions based on data. These skills and knowledge not only enhance the quality of graduation theses but also contribute to building a dynamic and creative academic environment at NIIE.
Through 4 main topics: Overview of research methods and data analysis, Data collection and processing techniques, Data analysis and statistical testing, and Application of data analysis in research, students were provided with the necessary amount of knowledge and skills to serve research, implement graduation theses, and even apply in future work. Feedback and contributions from Ms. Cam Tu and Mr. Nhat Phuong during the practical session also played an important role in helping students understand the issue better, avoid common mistakes, and learn how to solve difficulties.
Hopefully, this Workshop session will help NIIE students better understand data analysis, be better prepared for the upcoming graduation theses, and remember that this knowledge is not only valuable in the classroom but also applicable in real-life situations and future careers. I wish all final-year students of NIIE a timely graduation!
